Honestly-- WOW!!! This movie blew me away with how much I loved it. The acting and chemistry between Anne Hathway and Jake Gyllenhal was amazing! They are two of the best actors of their generation because they have such a screen presence that keeps people from not being able to look away from them.
The story revolves around the chance meeting of Jake's character who is a drug representative trying to sell two drugs to doctor's offices while Anne's character has Parkinson's Disease. They start a casual sex relationship that begins to develop into more before they break it off because she doesn't want to make him stay with her when she gets sicker since she has the disease so young.
The ending is enough to make the most cold-hearted person become a pile of mush because it is so well acted. It is beyond cliche but THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT!!
I live for the cliches in life! I want my life to be one big cliche!! hahaha.
The movie is very well written and is very witty-- honestly you begin to laugh whenever Jake's character is given Viagra to begin selling because he was such a lady's man who had sex with almost anyone at the beginning. It was very ironic how he became an overnight sensation!!
I recommend this as a date night movie because it has things for everyone (definitely not suitable for children-- just saying incase it was not clear from above mention of sex). As much as they say that Jake and Anne are coleads in this movie-- it is Jake's movie and Anne is supporting him but she does an AMAZING job in that role.
You actually feel like you just watched two people fall in love and it is absolutely gorgeous and beautiful and amazing and every other term you can come up with!!
