I must say I really liked this movie and was thoroughly engaged throughout the entire movie. Most people consider this one of Jennifer Lopez's best movies and I will agree she is good but why she was so good is because she oozes sexy from her pores throughout this entire movie. Literally this is what every actress wants to be like when they are in a film and supposed to be sexy. She was right up there with Angelina Jolie in Mr. and Mrs. Smith and Kathleen Turner in Body Heat (amazing movie!!!!).
The movie is about a bank robber (George Clooney) who escapes from jail and in the process kidnaps a US Marshall (Jennifer Lopez). The rest of the movie involves her chasing him and trying to catch him along with a lot of sexual tension between them.
This movie was very well received by critics back when it first came out but oddly not by the general public-- I personally have no idea. This was an amazing movie. It was even nominated for two Oscars, one of which for its writing.
At times this movie was hard to stay with because of some flashback scenes but if you pay attention and aren't like me who was on his computer checking facebook and email-- you will be able to keep up with it.
Even though I referenced only Clooney and Lopez--- this is definitely a movie that could not be as great as it is without the great supporting cast. Honestly not one bad actor in the bunch-- the stoner friend (Steve Zahn) is hysterical and you will LOVE his character and will feel bad for him. The bad guys are amazing too because they are so deliciously and stupidly bad.
When researching this movie I found that Sandra Bullock was originally considered for the movie and I think that would have been great casting (not to take away from Lopez).
But the best part of the movie (besides the sexual tension-- do you see a theme about why this movie is so great) is the ending-- simply brilliant and you will be howling and smiling and really leave loving the movie.
I highly recommend this movie (along with the two others I referenced-- Body Heat and Mr. and Mrs. Smith).
Have you seen this movie-- do you love it? Hate it? Don't really care?
