Finding Neverland
Honestly this movie makes me feel so good because it brings back memories of watching Peter Pan and wishing I could fly. As a history buff it gives me the background in the life of the author and what he was thinking as he creates it.
Some have called the story boring but I enjoy it because life is not always about a car chase or gun show. Instead life is about the little moments that bring people together. It was a sweet love story of Jonny Depp's character and Kate Winslet's character. They fall in love but it becomes a tragic type love story.
I am a HUGE Kate Winslet fan-- the only other actresses I love more are Meryl Streept, Bette Davis and Kathrine Hepburn. Winslet just has a way of making the acting look so easy and yet so complex. She made me cry so many times throughout this movie-- but especially at the end when her children created Neverland and they went for a visit. I was a mess during that scene the first time, and every time since them.
An unsung hero in the movie, Julie Christie--- she was beautiful as Kate Winslet's mother. She gives the perfect among of worrying and motherly love. She loves her daughter no matter what!
I highly recommend this simple movie! Let me know what you think.
CLUE-- Number 13 is a Christmas time favorite that I have to watch every year. There are so many clues I could give but then you would know the movie right away. It is black and white and when it was originally in theaters it was a FLOP!!! It wasn't until NBC (I believe) got the rights to show it on TV that it became a favorite of America. It shows how one person affects the futures of so many people.
