Review: Jennifer's Body

So I am slowly catching up on a lot of the DVD's I rented before my internet decided to play funny games. Luckily I was compiling a list of movies I was watching that I wanted to review. Most of them came out onto DVD within the last 6 months.

Everyone should know by now I love a good horror movie-- they are just so much fun because you know that everyone will likely die by the end. This was rare because you knew the twist going into the movie because of the title-- something is in Jennifer's body.

The movie is about a girl Jennifer that becomes possessed and starts to eat boys during a sexual act--- honestly LOVED the concept but did not enjoy the movie as much as I wanted.

I think it came down to the writing (can you believe I am not blaming Megan Fox's acting- haha). I am not a fan of the writer, Diablo Cody (she wrote Juno-- I hated that movie). I just thought the writing skipped around so much and actually gave away much of the big scenes before she needed to. The movie had so much potential to be the next Exorcist but instead it fell flat on its face.

Personally I recommend skipping this movie unless you like horror type movies-- if you do this will be a fun movie then. Otherwise rent something else.
